A a child always traveled to Kolhapur and parts of Konkan and Karnataka. Thus liking for these flavors originated when I was really young. Since I loved the cuisine I learnt how to cook it at a very young age. My mother always encouraged me to cook what I liked. In summer vacations I used to go stay with my Aunt who used to live in Belgaum.....a city in Karnataka. I learnt how to cook different dishes from her.
Moved to USA after marriage. By profession I am a Artist -Painter and I teach kids how to draw and paint. But the cook inside of me always had been telling me something else.
